Microsoft registered what could be the new logo of Gears of War 4?

The biggest gaming event of the year, E3 2015, is coming and while all video gamers are waiting for the announcements, we took a look at the registered trademarks in the US territory and found, on 2 June 2015, a logo filled by Microsoft Corporation. The logo shows, as indicated in the short description, “a cog wheel with blades” and is included in the category “game software“. Being made of a toothed gear, it could refer to the expected new title dedicated to the saga of Gears of War, which has always had as its logo a skull with a gear. The teeth could also refer to the famous Lancer rifle that has become a real symbol for the entire franchise.

We aren’t sure it refers to Gears of War 4 or a new IP; we will know it only when Microsoft itself will take the word, probably in a week, ahead of the E3 conference on 15 June 2015.
