Square Enix impressed many yesterday with the WITCH CHAPTER 0 [cry] DirectX 12 Final Fantasy-inspired tech demo showcased at Microsoft’s Build 2015 conference in San Francisco.
Interestingly, it’s not the last time we hear about it. In the press release from Square Enix Japan about the demo, the publisher mentioned that the demo will be showcased at Microsoft’s de:code technical conference, that will be held in May 26th and 27th in Tokyo.
The press release encourages to stay tuned, because the “latest information” on the tech demo will be shared during the conference.
While no further information has been given about what we’ll hear, maybe we’ll get to know if there’ll be a “chapter 1” and what it might entail. Personally, I’d be definitely interested to know how Square Enix intends to use the tech, especially considering that a PC version has not been announced yet for Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III, while Naoki Yoshida mentioned that for the moment there are no plans for a Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn DirectX 12 client.
